I've got blisters on my fingers.

Peter Pan

I just got back from seeing Peter and the Starcatcher on Broadway tonight. It was pretty great. Cast was great, staging/blocking was great, everything great! My dear friend insisted that I go see it while visiting (which really didn’t take much insisting since I enjoy theater anyway).

But what she didn’t already know is how much I’ve always loved the character Peter Pan. I think my issues relating to whether or not adulthood is real and what adulthood really is goes a long way back, longer than I’ve really been conscious of it. I think that’s why I always loved that character.

And (I’m not sure if I’m happy or sad about this), this show very much reinforced my beliefs about adulthood. If you get the chance to see this show, it is fantastic. If not, read the book trilogy that spawned it (do that anyway).
